Gnashing Teeth Publishing is accepting submissions for a limited release hand-bound zine. We are seeking your best short poetry and illustrations on the theme of winter. This small zine is inspired by the opening line of the speech in Shakespeare’s Richard III :”Now is the winter of our discontent.” Please read the guidelines. Use our Contact Form for any questions, but not for submissions.
Poetry must be about the theme of WINTER. Poems can be NO LONGER THAN 90 words long. Brevity is your friend. Use 12-point font in Times New Roman or Arial. Send up to 3 poems for consideration.
Flash fiction in less than 90 words? Why not? On the theme of winter. Submit 1 piece in 12 point font.
We are seeking interior illustrations. This includes: watercolor, pen and ink, and other graphic illustrations. No photography, please. All art should be easily reproducible in black and white. Submissions of artwork should be formatted as .jpg, .jpeg, .bmp, .png, or .pdf.

Submissions are open through Jan 15, 2021. You will be notified by Jan 31, 2021, if your piece was selected for inclusion in the anthology. If you do not hear from us, assume your piece was not selected. Do not query before Jan 31, 2021.
