call for submissions
Gnashing Teeth Publishing is accepting submissions for our annual Hallow-Scream online feature. Each year we mix it up a little. This year we are going ekphrastic.
We are providing images from CurseJourney. Choose an image and respond with a 100-word microfiction. We also ask you go check out CurseJourney’s Patreon and ask if you feel so moved to support them.
Selected works will be posted throughout the day on October 31st on our website and social media.
Please read the guidelines. Use our Contact Form for any questions, but not for submissions.
GUIDELINES
Poetry must be about the chosen image Poems should be NO LONGER THAN 12 short lines long. Brevity is your friend. Use 12-point font in Times New Roman or Arial. Send up to 1 poem for consideration.
Micro fiction shold be less than 100 words on the image provided. Submit 1 piece in 12 point font.
Send us your work and which image you are using as inspiration to submission@gnashingteethpublishing.com Put Hallowscream/YourName in the subject line. Any submissions sent through our contact form will be deleted without comment. Submissions are open through October 25, 2023. You will be notified by October 30, 2023, if your piece was selected for inclusion. If you do not hear from us, please feel free to query. Do not query before October 30, 2023.
As this is an online feature, we are not offering any renumeration, just our eternal thanks.
