Erasure poetry, also known as blackout poetry, is a found poetry cretaed by erasing words from the source poem or prose and making an entirely new poem.
This anthology of erasure poetry is a collection based on a social media response to a call to erase “Dead Girl Running” by best-selling author Christina Dodd. Pages were mailed around the world for poets, writers, and artists to create their own response to the words on the page they were provided.
Each poet chose their own unique response and style to the work, creating a unique look at the many forms erasure poetry can take. A school class in India used digital editing to create stunning art around their erasures.
