everything has
been hard and
heavy,
as of late;
in my world and the
world at large—
so yesterday i was
drinking in small
wonders
like pretty tulips
dancing out in spring sunlight,
and the little white
butterflies dancing through them;
and soon i found a pair of
jeweled jasper green eyes
glancing back at me—
i said, “hello, kitty”;
but i kept walking as i didn’t
have time to stop on a
magical side quest
at that present moment—
the sky was a pretty shade
of blue, and the clouds were
fluffy balls of cotton candy
teasing my hungry heart.
