Karen Cline-Tardiff has been writing since she could hold a pen. She writes poetry, flash fiction, personal essays, short stories, and grant requests. Karen also edits for a small group of friends. She has been published in a variety of online and print outlets. She was born in Texas, lived a little bit of everywhere, and now divides her time between the mountains of Arkansas and the Big D (Dallas, Texas). When she can’t find poetry somewhere, she puts it there.

She was the founder of the Aransas County Poetry Society, which hosted a monthly open mic (pre-Covid).  She is a Tupelo Press 30/30 Project alumni.  She is a Leadership Aransas County alumni, Class XVIII. She holds an MBA and Masters-Public Admin. Karen is on the Board of Directors of  People’s Literary Festival. She has been a State Delegate for her local Democratic Party and Recorder for City Council. She is heavily involved in her community and a vocal proponent of human rights. In her spare time she builds websites to keep the lights on at Gnashing Teeth.
