let me disappear into
the forest,
let me hope again;
as the creek water washes away
every worry and the trees lend me
their kindness and compassion
as crowsong nests in my ears just
leave me be—
humanity can be a burden sometimes,
let me live in this place with peace as
my compass and guide;
where wildflowers and moonlight and
sunsong can lead me to my destinations—
i want to know magic again,
far too long i have been trapped in a world
that wasn’t of my own design and i have had
enough of the mundane because i know
there is more than suffering and pain and darkness;
let me taste the light once more.
