he bellows from
the pulpit about sodomites
hell bent on destroying
the Christian world through
homosexuality.

i sit quietly in the
backrow eating
an apple i stole from
a small bodega
across the street.

his voice & cadence
are mesmerizing. he
sways & moves,
long thin branches
drifting in the wind.
he is beautiful, with
strong arms, deep blue
eyes, and thick legs.

he goes on for fifteen
minutes, pleased with
his words, the parishioners
nodding in agreement.
sodomites are damned
to hell. surely.

an hour later i am naked
beneath a preacher
as he sodomizes me
with great passion and
emotion. i stare at
a picture of his
family on a nightstand
as he ejaculates into
me. he tells me he
loves me, just like
Jesus loves us all, i guess.

and then he asks me to leave,
quickly through the back door.
he has things to do.
another sermon to write.
a wife to kiss.
another breath to draw
without any sense of irony.
